At Smile Squad Pediatric Dentistry, we’re dedicated to providing elite comprehensive dental care for infants, children, and teenagers. From your child’s first visit, expect a warm and welcoming home away from home. We focus on each child’s unique needs to help them create healthy, beautiful smiles.
Early preventative dentistry is essential for good oral hygiene. At Smile Squad, we empower children with the knowledge and habits they need to take ownership of their oral health. Our preventative services, including check-ups, cleanings, radiographs, fluoride treatments, and sealants, help prevent cavities and gum disease, and catch small issues early. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends children start seeing the dentist by age 1, and at Smile Squad, we ensure those early visits set the stage for a lifetime of healthy smiles.
Baby teeth are crucial for your child's development, enabling proper chewing and speech, and holding space for permanent teeth. Losing a primary tooth too early can cause permanent teeth to drift, complicating their eruption. To ensure your child's oral health, it’s important to visit Dr. Oparaeke by age 1. Her expertise and gentle approach help establish a foundation for healthy smiles and positive dental experiences from a young age.
Dr. Nicole Oparaeke, originally from Texas, has aspired to be a dentist since middle school. She pursued higher education at Ivy League institutions, earning her undergraduate degree from Columbia University and her dental degree from Harvard University. Passionate about pediatric dentistry, she completed her residency at Rady Children's Hospital in San Diego with NYU Langone Health. After practicing in California and Michigan, she now resides in Chicago with her family. Dr. Oparaeke is an active member of several dental societies and is dedicated to helping children achieve their healthiest smiles while fostering a positive experience with their oral health.
